My Culinary Journey
Growing up near the water and spending the last 18 years cooking seriously in Florida, I've developed a deep appreciation for the kind of food that makes you feel good—light, fresh, and full of sunshine. The coastal lifestyle here in Clearwater has shaped everything I create in the kitchen, from the seafood I select at local markets to the tropical ingredients that inspire my recipes.
To refine my techniques and deepen my culinary knowledge, I completed a culinary fundamentals program at a local cooking school. This formal training gave me the confidence to elevate simple ingredients and taught me the foundation skills that make cooking feel intuitive rather than intimidating.
Before focusing on food blogging full-time, I worked as a hospitality coordinator at a beach resort here in Clearwater. That experience taught me the importance of presentation, timing, and creating memorable dining experiences—lessons I bring to every recipe I develop.
